Accelerated Production
Problem:
In the North Sea, an evaluation of a subsea field showed the following opportunity to accelerate production.
The first diagram shows conventional production, with the lower, then upper reservoirs being produced sequentially to avoid cross flow and ensure acceptable production allocation.
SmartWell® Solution
The second diagram shows production using SmartWell® technology to alternately produce the lower, then the upper, reservoirs. This sequenced approach accelerates production and enhances NPV while simultaneously avoiding cross flow and ensuring acceptable production allocation.
