WellDynamics, a Halliburton company, is the world's leading provider of intelligent completion technology to the upstream oil industry. WellDynamics' SmartWell^® technology, introduced in 1997, was the industry's first intelligent well completion system, designed specifically to remotely control and monitor specific reservoir zones without intervention.

In 2005, WellDynamics expanded its core flow control capabilities to include permanent downhole monitoring products with the acquisition of Wood Group’s Production Technology division. The 2006 acquisition of Halliburton’s RPM group further extended WellDynamics’ downhole monitoring capabilities.

Today, WellDynamics offers a broad complement of products and services designed to optimize production, ranging from reservoir engineering studies to advanced completion design, zonal isolation and flow control, reservoir monitoring and surface digital infrastructure solutions.
