Derek Mathieson
President and Chief Executive Officer
Derek Mathieson is President and Chief Executive Officer of WellDynamics. He was previously Vice President of Business Development and Technology and directed the company's R&D and marketing functions.
Mathieson joined WellDynamics at its formation in 2001 and held positions as Reliability Assurance Manager, R&D Manager and Technology Director before assuming the Vice President role in 2006.
Mathieson holds both a PhD and an undergraduate degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Institute of Electrical Technology (IET), and is professionally registered with the UK Engineering Council. Mathieson is a frequent speaker at many industry events.
Rick Luke
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Rick Luke is Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at WellDynamics, and has directed the company's financial operations since 2004.
Over his 25-year career in the oil and gas industry, Luke has served as both financial manager and general manager in various countries. He joined WellDynamics from Halliburton, where he served as Vice President of the Europe/Africa Region, based in London, from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that assignment, Luke worked as Director of Shared Services for Europe and Africa for Halliburton, and held several financial and administrative management positions in those regions. He began his career with Halliburton as a staff accountant in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Luke earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oklahoma State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
Maurice Boyle
Vice President, Eastern Hemisphere Business Unit
Maurice Boyle is Vice President, Eastern Hemisphere Business Unit at
WellDynamics, and is responsible for setting business strategy and
directing operations for those regions. Boyle was previously Regional
Manager for WellDynamics' Middle East region. He joined WellDynamics'
precursor, Petroleum Engineering Services (PES), in 1996, and held a
variety of positions over that time, including UK Business Development Manager.
Boyle brings over 25 years of industry experience to his role at
WellDynamics, with a career spanning positions at Baker Oil Tools and
Petroleum Engineering Services.
Gary Eshenroder
Vice President, Manufacturing and Supply Chain
Gary Eshenroder is Vice President, Manufacturing and Supply Chain at WellDynamics, and brings to the firms over 20 years of industry experience in various manufacturing leadership and management roles.
Immediately prior to joining WellDynamics, Eshenroder was Director of Manufacturing and Supply Chain at Halliburton's Security DBS Drill Bits division, and previously served in such key positions as Director of Strategic Supply, and Global Manufacturing Technology Manager. He was associated with General Electric in Kentucky and Juarez, Mexico, and at Boeing in Renton, Washington, before his employment with Halliburton.
Eshenroder holds an Engineering Technology degree from Brigham Young University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University.
Christina Ibrahim
Vice President and General Counsel
Christina Ibrahim is Vice President and General Counsel at WellDynamics. Prior to joining WellDynamics in 2005, Ibrahim was on the staff of Halliburton law department, where she supported Halliburton's software development company, Landmark Graphics, in its offices in Canada, Venezuela, Eurasia and Europe. She also supported Halliburton's US oilfield services product lines. She previously supported Halliburton and KBR, Inc., in employment and labor matters domestically and internationally.
Ibrahim holds a Juris Doctor degree from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Virginia Tech. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and is a Certified Mediator in the State of Texas.
Michael Konopczynski
Vice President, Technology and Marketing
Michael (Mike) Konopczynski is Vice President of Technology and Marketing at WellDynamics, where he directs the company's R&D, engineering, product line, and marketing strategies.
Konopczynski joined WellDynamics in 2000, and had leadership responsibilities for the company's reservoir solutions and marketing functions prior to his appointment to his current role.
He was previously employed by Shell in a variety of production engineering and technology roles. His assignments with Shell included projects for steam-assisted thermal recovery, CO2 enhanced recovery, deep sour gas development, and gas-condensate developments in Canada, the United States, and Oman. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Gerry Rideout
Vice President, Executive Account Development
Gerry Rideout is Vice President, Executive Account Development at WellDynamics, and is responsible for leading and supporting WellDynamics' global business development efforts with key clients.
Rideout started his career with Baker Oil Tools in London in 1975, and held various technical, engineering, sales, marketing and management roles in Baker's Europe, FSU and Middle East Regions. In 1993, he joined PES (Petroleum Engineering Services), and was a member of the original team that developed the SmartWell® completion concept and systems.
Since joining WellDynamics at its inception, Rideout has worked in the technical sales and marketing departments, and, until recently, managed the Europe, Africa and Caspian regions.
Rideout is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and holds an HND in mechanical and production engineering.
Paul Terry
Vice President, Western Hemisphere Business Unit
Paul Terry is Vice President, Western Hemisphere Business Unit at WellDynamics, and directs the business strategy and operations for that region. He joined WellDynamics in 2005, and brings over 25 years of experience in well completions to the company.
Prior to his association with WellDynamics,Terry was employed by Otis Engineering, where he held various management positions around the world in sales and marketing, product line management and manufacturing.
Terry graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has been a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) since 1979.
Vickie Tucker
Vice President, Human Resources
Vickie Tucker is Vice President, Human Resources at WellDynamics and is responsible for providing the strategic vision, direction and leadership for the human resources function. In her role, she oversees worldwide human resources strategy and planning, staffing, talent management and succession processes, compensation and benefits, leadership development and community relations.
Tucker joined the company in 2001 as Global Human Resources Manager and was promoted to the WellDynamics leadership team in August 2004. Before joining WellDynamics, she served in a number of management positions spanning over 20 years in the oilfield services industry with major companies, including BJ Services, Smith International, and The Western Company of North America. Tucker is a participating member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM).
